Jordan Kreifels scored three goals to lead Lenape/RV to a 5-3 win over Holy Cross in SJHSIHL action played at the Igloo on Friday night. After a scoreless first period, Sam Belanger scored his fourth goal of the season to give Lenape/RV a 1-0 lead early in the second period. Kreifels made it 2-0 midway through the period scoring an unassisted goal. Holy Cross would bounce back to score two goals in the final six minutes as Brian Clegg notched his second of the season and Patrick Rizzo tied the score right before the horn sounded and we entered the third period tied at 2-2.

The second period was somewhat chippy as a total of 10 penalties were called, with Lenape/RV guilty of six. Both teams settled down in the third period to play hockey and Lenape/RV took the lead early in the period as Alex Mastrokyriakos picked the perfect time to score his first goal of the year. Andrew Jillions tied the score for Holy Cross at the six minute mark and we stayed that way until the final minute when Kreifels got the game winner and then added another with two seconds left to complete his hat trick. Congratulations to Lenape/RV on their first combined win.
