Michael Wilson scored three goals and Isaiah Beck added two as the Wings of Steel defeated Vineland 5-3 in sled hockey action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. With the victory the Wings record improved to 7-0-1. Next up is a rematch with the Vineland Stars at their rink. The Wings were trailing 1-0 but Jesse Beck slid a nice pass to Wilson on a breakaway and he went top shelf to tie the game at 1-1. After Vineland recaptured the lead at 2-1 early in the second period, Wilson would score two goals, one on the power play, to give the Wings a 3-2 lead.
Danny Wheeler made several big saves in goal for the Wings to keep his team in front, two saves stand out in particular as Vineland tried going high but Wheeler showed his quick glove and snagged both attempts to keep the Wings in front. Isaiah finally capitalized on a breakaway to give the Wings some breathing room at 4-2. Once again Vineland cut the lead to 4-3 but Isaiah iced the game late in the third with Wilson getting the assist.
