Shawnee scored two goals in the opening four minutes of the second period, one by Vinny Misiewicz and another by Danny Pagliuso, this one on the power play to build a 3-1 lead. Tyler Dunphy would bring the EEW to within 3-2, with his first of two on the night at the nine minute mark and would then tie the game early in the third scoring on the power play. Walker would score a power play goal of his own to give Shawnee a 4-3 lead, but just about one minute later the EEW would tie the score at 4-4 on Arsenault’s second of the night.
Mike Peccini would snap the tie with under nine minutes remaining with Kaiser getting his third assist of the night. With Peccini in the box with less than five minutes left, the EEW had a chance to tie the game, but Walker scored short-handed to ice the game at 6-4.
