Clearview scheduled a cross-over game against defending Flyers Cup AA Champion Council Rock South and lost 5-2 at Hollydell on Friday evening. Playing these games early in the year go a long way towards helping your cause come Flyers Cup selection time. Top senior forward Taylor Olson missed most of the third period after a hit at his knees, which could have caused serious injury, and with his teammates taking exception to the illegal hit, changed the complexion of the game and both sides became more physical and verbal, but the officials kept the game under control and prevented any incidents from occurring.

Olson gave Clearview a 1-0 scoring on the power play three minutes into the game. CRS would come right back thirty seconds later on a blast from the point by Dan Ufberg. Late in the period CRS scored an empty net goal as miscommunication between the defense and goalie Dan Flaherty would put the puck on the stick of Mitch Vaysman and with no-one in net he scored to make it 2-1.Early in the second Vaysman scored his second of the night on a nice feed from Ufberg to make it 3-1 and two goals by Tom Kozior gave CRS a 5-1 lead after two. After the hit on Olson, the teams would trade penalties and Tyler Richardson would bring Clearview to within 5-2 with five minutes left, but that was as close as they came.

Next up for Clearview is a game with rival Washington Township. Due to problems last year with these two rivals the game is being played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees.
