Joseph Paul had a hat trick, including two third period goals to lead Clearview over previous undefeated Cherokee 4-2 in SJHSIHL action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Coming off a loss to Township on Friday night in a game that did not produce much offense, Clearview would respond with a better effort. Norman Angel picked the perfect time to score his first goal of the season as he gave Clearview a 1-0 lead late in the first. Casey Forte got that one back for Cherokee and we headed into the second period 1-1.
Paul gave Clearview a 2-1 lead in the second period only to have Cole Zucker get the equalizer for Cherokee. Cherokee began the third period in a tie game, first time all season that has happened. Paul got the game winner midway through the period with Taylor Olson getting the assist. Paul would add an empty net goal in the final seconds to ice the game.
