Dennis Padick scored all four goals for Mainland, including the game tying goal with forty one seconds left as Mainland and Lenape/RV skated to a 4-4 tie. After the teams traded goals in the first period, Padick scoring early for a 1-0 lead, and Lenape/RV scoring late on a power play goal by Sam Belanger, Mainland took the lead in the second period.

Nick Bryan got the lone assist on Padick’s second goal just about thirty seconds into the second period and Austin Klock set-up Padick about five minutes later and Mainland led 3-1 heading into the third period. Lenape/RV stormed back in the third period scoring three goals in a four minute span. Chris Popp notched his fifth of the season to cut the lead to 3-2. Then goals by Jordan Kreifels and Belanger’s second of the night seconds apart with under eight minutes left gave Lenape/RV a 4-3 lead.

With the game winding down, Mainland had to kill a penalty in the final three minutes and did, which set the stage for Padick, as he scored with assists going to Klock and Paddy McFadden and Mainland was able to get at least one point, when it looked like they were going to come out with a loss.
