Ryan McCusker stopped all 20 shots and Washington Township scored three goals in the first period as they defeated Lenape/RV 4-0 in a rare Wednesday night contest at Hollydell. With the win Township improved to 8-3. Township jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening period, scoring all three goals in a span of four minutes.

Kevin Mello opened the scoring at the nine minute mark, as he converted a pass from Jonathan Smith from behind the net for his third goal of the season. Less than two minutes later Ryan Wilson found Billy Wharton down low and he re-directed the pass from Wilson into the net for a 2-0 lead. Austin Haslett would score an unassisted goal at the five minute mark as he shot the puck through a maze of players and the lead was 3-0.

Meanwhile McCusker kept Lenape/RV off the board with his biggest save coming off of a break by Matt Cloud. After a scoreless second period, Lenape/RV had three straight penalties in the third period, but solid defense and some timely saves by McCusker kept Lenape/RV off the board. Mike Lorence added a power play goal in the third to complete the scoring. Next up for Township is a game against Williamstown on Friday night.
