Alec Nicolai scored three goals to lead Moorestown over Clearview 6-2 at Hollydell on Friday night. With the win Moorestown moved into second place in the division. Mike Katz put Moorestown on the board early in the first period scoring a power play goal with Nicolai and Eric Schwartz getting the assists. Clearview tied the score at 1-1 as Taylor Olson and Mike Vulpio broke in and Vulpio put home the feed from Olson for his sixth goal of the season. Late in the period Nicolai connected on the power play with Katz and Joey Aja getting the helpers.

The teams traded power play goals in the second period with Schwartz giving Moorestown a 3-1 lead early in the period, but Joseph Paul cut the lead to 3-2 midway through the period. Moorestown put the game away with a three goal third period. Freshman John McCullough getting his first varsity goal at the seven minute mark to build the lead to 4-2. Nicolai would score the last two goals, one on a rebound, the other on a breakaway as Moorestown pulled away with the 6-2 win.
