Taylor Olson scored three goals, including two in the first period as Clearview jumped out to a 3-0 lead and defeated Washington Township 6-3 in a SJHSIHL game played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Olson scored just over one minute into the game to give the View a 1-0 and Kyle Montgomery would make it 2-0 at the five minute mark. Olson closed out the period with a goal in the final twenty seconds to give the View a 3-0 lead heading into the second period.
Doug Sanders would get Township on the board at the two minute mark of the second period as he scored a power play goal with Steve Sailor getting the assist. Leading 3-1 early in the third period, Clearview iced the game with two power play goals capitalizing on a two-man advantage, with Olson completing his hat trick just eight seconds into the period to make it 4-1.
Then on the back end of the power play Eric Mitchell made it 5-1 with Olson and Mike Vulpio getting the assist. Patrick Curiale saw his consecutive game goal streak reach five as he notched his eighth goal of the season on the power play to cut the lead to 5-2 with just over six minutes left in the game. But Vulpio made it 6-2 just fourteen seconds later to squash any hopes of a comeback. Billy Wharton scored in the final minute to close out the scoring. Next up for Township is a date with Moorestown on Monday.
