Pat Curiale had two goals and one assist and Ryan McCusker stopped all 14 shots as Washington Township defeated Cinnaminson 3-0at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Friday night. With the win Township is now all alone in fourth place in the standings. Curiale opened the scoring at the midway point of the opening period scoring his 10th goal of the season with Jason Smith and Mike Lorence getting the assists.
With the period winding down good hustle by Curiale created a chance for Doug Sanders and he connected for his eighth of the year to make it 2-0 Township after one period. McCusker only saw 3 shots in the first period, but Cinnaminson had an opportunity early in the second period on the power play, but McCusker kept them off the board and Township led 2-0 after two periods.
Curiale added his second of the night and team leading 11th of the year connecting on the power play with just over one minute left in the game and Township came away with the win. Next up is a match with Lower Cape May on Monday night at Voorhees.
