Coming off their second loss of the season on Friday night, Cherokee came out intent on not losing two in a row and Casey Forte and Brian Miller made sure as they led the Chiefs to a 7-1 win over Clearview. Forte had two goals and two assists, Miller added two goals. Midway through the first period Forte found Jason Spieker in front and he re-directed the pass into the net for a 1-0 lead. Later in the period Forte found Dave Mazzilli all alone in front and his quick shot made it 2-0 after one.

Miller scored on a short-handed breakaway early in the second period to give the Chiefs a 3-0 lead. Forte made it 4-0 scoring a power play goal with just under six minutes left in the period with Cole Zucker getting the assist. Miller made it 5-0 late in the period with Anthony Fenu getting the helper. Forte made it 6-0 in the third period scoring his second power play goal. Jason Westrom scored his sixth of the season and the Chiefs led 7-0. Mike Vulpio ruined the shutout for Justin Baudrina as he scored with just sixteen seconds left for Clearview.

Notes: Clearview seemed a bit tired as they did not generate much offense and managed only 14 shots for the game.
