Patrick Curiale ran his goal streak to four games as he netted a hat trick and Tyler Benton and Nick Urban notched their first of the season as Washington Township defeated Lower Cape May 8-0 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Benton scored the lone goal of the first period as Township led just 1-0 after one. Township broke open the game scoring four goals in a span less than four minutes in the second period.
Austin Haslett made it 2-0 at the twelve minute mark, then on the power play Haslett and Doug Sanders set-up Curiale for his first of the night and Township led 3-0. Fifty seconds later Curiale made it 4-0 with Randy Smith getting the assist. Sanders would get the next to goals, first on the power play less than one minute after Sanders, to make it 5-0. Then with the period winding down he scored his tenth of the season, with Haslett and Curiale assisting.
Township converted their third chance on the power play as Curiale completed his hat trick at the nine minute mark of the third period with Mike Lorence getting the helper. Then freshman Urban got his first varsity goal to close out the scoring for Township with Matteo Jordan and Smith getting the assists.
