The Pirates used a five goal second period to break open a 2-1 game as they pulled away from Holy Cross 10-1. Eric Bell and Mark Monte led the Pirates with two goals each. Bell and Monte scored goals in the first period sandwiched around one by Bradley Peditto. Leading just 2-1 entering the second period, Andrew DeBellis got Cinnaminson going early in the period as the sophomore notched his second goal of the season. Goals by Jeff Eppright and Monte just about one minute apart gave the Pirates a 5-1 lead.

Midway through the period defenseman Joe Binnig would get his second of the season as the lead grew to 6-1. James Popp scored in the final minute of the period to cap a five goal outburst, which are the most goals in one period this season. Goals by Bell and Chris and Troy Pawlikowski closed out the scoring and the Pirates improved to 7-10-3.
