Jeffrey Eppright and Brandon Greenberg each scored two goals and Stephen Renshaw stopped 16 shots as Cinnaminson defeated Lenape/RV 5-0 and advanced in the double elimination tournament. Next up for Cinnaminson is a date with Black Horse on Friday night. Lenape/RV saw its season come to an end.

Peter Selnek got things going for the Pirates as he scored an unassisted goal at the seven minute mark for a 1-0 lead. Greenberg made it 2-0 as he scored short-handed with Tim Eck assisting. Just about four minutes later the lead grew to 3-0 as Eppright converted on the power play with Greenberg and Joe Calendo getting the helpers. Leading 3-0 heading into the second period and with Renshaw not surrendering anything Cinnaminson was in control and when Eppright and Greenberg added goals five minutes apart to make it 5-0, the two goals left for the Pirates were to preserve the shutout and avoid the penalty box.

The third period saw the teams evenly split 10 penalties, but Renshaw did preserve the shutout. Black Horse and Cinnaminson have met 3 times, twice in the regular season, where they split and once earlier in the tournament. All 3 games have been decided by one goal, I suspect this one to be no different.
