Brian Popiolek scored two goals as Black Horse built a 4-0 lead and held off a late charging HLV 6-4 in National division action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The win was the fifth in a row for Black Horse and firmly establishes them as the team to beat in the playoffs. Brandon Graham scored the only goal of the first period as Black Horse led just 1-0. Popiolek would score his two goals in a three minute span late in the second period, after he made it 2-0 with Scott Veneziale and Kyle Ringheiser getting the assists, Veneziale would score his team high 23rd goal to make it 3-0 and Popiolek made it 4-0 sixteen seconds later.

Sam Belanger put HLV on the board scoring in the first twenty five seconds to make it 4-1, but goals by Ringheiser and John Kennedy pushed the lead to 6-1. Goals by Eric Wolfinger, and two by Colin Riera got HLV to 6-4 but they could get no closer.
