Jake Lukis scored his 15th goal of the season in the final minute of the third period as Riverfront rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie EEW at 2-2. Sam Amon and Max Guralnick scored goals in the opening five minutes to give the EEW a 2-0 lead. Riverfront closed the gap to 2-1late in the period with Sean Conard scoring his 14th goal of the season. After a scoreless second period which saw EEW killing off 6 penalties, including being down two men for a full two minutes, goalie Nick Mattioli was strong in nets to keep the lead at 2-1.

The third period was much calmer penalty wise as neither team drew a penalty and EEW looked like it was going to escape with a 2-1 win, but Lukis scored with just fifty seconds left to earn a tie for Riverfront.
