Washington Township opened up the 2014-2015 Playoffs with a 2-0 win over Moorestown, Having gone 4-0 against Moorestown during the regular season, with 2 shutouts, goalie Zachary Burkhardt continued his mastery over the Quakes, but wasn’t really tested until the third period. Township took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period as Riley Griffith connected down low with Chris Cozzan and Brandon Balsama getting the assists. Late in the period Donovan Haslett out-hustled Moorestown goalie Dominic Romeo to the loose puck in the corner and fed Sam Strippoli in front of a wide open net and his goal at the end of the period made it 2-0.

Moorestown could not generate any offense in the second period, only mustering one shot on goal, despite having a power play. The third period Moorestown came alive and peppered Burkhardt with 13 shots and had several good chances down low but could not crack through and now Township will await the winner of the Cherokee-Clearview game.
