Jesse Viggiano had two goals and two assists to help lead EEW over Williamstown 7-0 on Monday night at Voorhees. Williamstown could only muster 7 shots on goal and Mike Verdecchio stopped all seven for his first shutout of the season. Max Guralnick added two goals for the EEW. Viggiano set-up Guralnick five minutes into the game as the EEW led 1-0. Viggiano would score the next two goals in a fourteen second span, late in the period and the EEW led 3-0 after one period.

Max Ramos stopped all 15 shots and Kyle McGovern had two goals as Clearview defeated Washington Township 5-0 in American division action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday night. Anthony Dellerose added three assists. Mason Gagne opened the scoring three minutes into the game scoring on a break. Less than one minute later, with the View on the power play, McGovern converted a cross-ice pass from Dellerose and ripped home a shot from inside the circle for a 2-0 lead. Township struggled to generate offense, due in large part to Clearview back-checking and staying three across on the line.

Shaun Savvas stopped all 27 shots as HLV defeated Black Horse 5-0, for their third straight win. Coming off Friday nights upset win over Mainland, HLV continued their strong play tonight getting two goals from Sam Belanger and capitalizing on the man advantage. After a scoreless first period, Belanger opened the scoring in the first thirty four seconds of the period. The lead stood at just 1-0 until late in the period when Black Horse committed back-to-back penalties and HLV capitalized. First Justin Vadino scored an unassisted power play goal, his first of the season and the lead was 2-0.

With Moorestown off to a slow start and struggling to score goals, averaging just over three per game entering tonight’s contest, they responded by going 4-4 on the power play, as they defeated Shawnee 9-1. John Yedman and Nicholas Karlefors-Murphy each had a hat trick to pace the Moorestown offense. Jake Pearlstein scored the lone Shawnee goal, his 18th of the season. Yedman scored the first power play of the night at the nine minute mark and twenty three seconds later it was 2-0 on a goal by Brian Santosuosso. Nathaniel Foster scored his first goal of the season with Santosuosso assisting and the lead was 3-0. Pearlstein would score in the last forty seconds to bring Shawnee to within 3-1 after one period.

Dylan Richardson scored four goals and Andrew Fehr, Matty McLane and Danny O’Conner each scored twice as Cinnaminson pulled away from Kingsway 13-5 in late action played at Hollydell. Kingsway jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first four minutes on goals by Dom Salerno, Mike Moss, Vinnie Salerno and Joe Bene. Goals by McLane, Fehr and Richardson in a three minute span would tie the game at 4-4. James Lowry, the point’s leader on the Pirates, would give Cinnaminson their first lead as he scored with just over two minutes left in the period.

Jim Pollock and Jarrett Wharton each had a goal and assist to help Washington Township defeat Moorestown 4-2 in American division action played at Hollydell on Friday night. With the win Township moved to within one point of first place. Three of Township goals came from the special teams, with 2 on the power play and one short-handed. Chris DeRose gave Moorestown a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game. Township would respond less than two minutes later as Chris Cozzan would see his shot from the point go through a maze of players and into the net, for his team high 7th of the season.

Clearview and Cherokee were early into the third period when the Skate Zone lost power last night, with the View leading 2-1 and just starting a five minute power play when the rink went dark. Seconds later a row of back-up lights came on, but the game was suspended and will be picked up at a later date. In a game dominated by the View, having a power outage was the best answer for Cherokee as they could not generate any offense against Clearview goalie Mike Hughes. After a scoreless first period Clearview took a 1-0 lead with Nick Ramos getting the goal.

Trevor Rucci scored four goals and Tom Grzegorski added two as St Joe’s rolled over Lower Cape May 11-2 in Olympic play at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. With the win St Joe’s improved to 9-1 on the season. St Joe’s took control early scoring five goals in the opening period and never looked back. Grzegorski got things going in the opening minute scoring a goal with Nick Yuhas getting the helper. Rucci would get his first of the night on the power play at the five minute mark and seconds later Alex Eberly scored and it was 3-0. Goals by Rucci and Tristen Ridarelli had the lead to 5-0 after one.

Jesse Viggiano scored a goal to snap a 2-2 game with just ninety one seconds left as EEW defeated Cinnaminson 3-2 in action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. EEW dominated play, controlling the puck and creating numerous scoring chances, but Cinnaminson goalie Steve San Martin was outstanding and until Viggiano scored it looked like the Pirates were going to steal a point.

Washington Township having scored just 13 goals in five games, exploded last night for eight goals in defeating Black Horse 8-2 at Hollydell. Chris Cozzan led the scoring with four goals. Black Horse led briefly in the opening period as Brandon Graham scored from a tough angle, his eighth goal of the year. Township responded twenty four seconds later with Cozzan getting his first of the night on a shot from the slot. Eric Sailor and Jarrett Wharton getting the assists. Right after the face-off Township scored again as Donovan Haslett would get his first of the season on some hard work in front of the net. Despite dominating in shots at 18-2 after one period the score was just 2-1.
