Elliott Schon scored three goals as Cherry Hill East defeated St Joe’s 9-2 in the season finale for both teams at Hollydell on Friday night. St Joe’s took the lead scoring a power play goal at the eight minute mark with Cooper Root getting his seventh of the year. That lead lasted thirty seconds as Brian Cutler would tie the game at 1-1 with his first of the season. The teams would trade goals in the opening three minutes of the second period after Ben Snyder gave East a 2-1 lead, St Joe’s Kevin Glass would rip one home to tie the game at 2-2. That would be all the scoring for St Joe’s as East would score the next seven.

Schon would score twice in a span of sixteen seconds, both assisted by Jakob Mutschler midway through the period and a 4-2 lead. Tom Papa added a power play goal late in the period and East took a 5-2 lead into the third period. East would break the game open scoring four goals in the third, first Joe Pearson connected at the seven minute mark, three minutes later Schon completed his hat trick and goals by Sean McKenna and Mutschler two minutes apart closed out the scoring.
