Andrew Cardinali would tie the game at 1-1 scoring his first goal of the season less than one minute later. Hunter Ray would score a power play goal for the Chiefs midway through the second period and less than three minutes later Sam Berger would connect on his fifth goal of the year and Cherokee led 3-1. Ambrose would make it 5-2 in the opening minute of the third period but a goal by Ian Durr cut the lead to 5-3 two minutes later. Late in the period with Cherokee down two men, Bene would make it 5-4 with his second of the night and moments later he would score on the back end of the advantage and suddenly we were tied at 5-5. Ambrose, who had his best game of the season, would score the game winner in the final seconds to give the Chiefs the win. Ambrose had three assists to go along with his two goals and the Chiefs will need this kind of performance if they want to contend for a title.
