Jake Kelley and Samuel Libetti scored two goals each as Cherokee had little trouble in defeating Lower Cape May 10-0 at Voorhees on Monday night. Cherokee would score a season high nine goals in the first period and never looked back. Kelley scored right after the opening faceoff, just thirteen seconds into the game. Hunter Ray would make it 2-0 just over one minute later. Twenty four seconds later Libetti would get his first of two on the night and if you got there late the score was already 3-0 less than two minutes in.

The Chiefs would go quiet for four minutes, that’s when Samuel Berger would get his sixth of the season and a 4-0 advantage. Matthew Hall would get his first goal of the season seconds later and the lead was 5-0. Goals by Libetti and Kelley had the lead to 7-0. And in the final minute goals by Mike Deford and Jacob Bianchi put the Chiefs up 9-0. Max Zelligson would score his second goal of the season midway through the second period for the 10-0 final.
