Matt Hall scored on the power play midway through the third period to snap a 2-2 game and give Cherokee JVA a 3-2 win over Moorestown in playoff action played at the Voorhees Skate Zone on Sunday night. Mike O’Connell had given Moorestown an early 1-0 lead scoring in the opening minute of the game. Goals by Pete Cerria and Bryan Lafferty just over one minute apart gave the Chiefs a 2-1 lead. Moorestown would get the only goal of the second period from Kevin Hillman just forty three seconds in and we were tied at 2-2.

After Hall would convert on the power play with Mike Andes and Connor Ray assisting, Moorestown would have a golden opportunity in the final three minutes with a two man advantage for almost a full two minutes, but Matt Stepnowski kept Moorestown off the board and Cherokee advanced into the finals.
