On Friday, October 5th the newly formed Wings of Steel adult team held their inaugural golf outing. Teaming up with our friends, the Cherokee Chiefs, the Wings were ready to tee it up at Ramblewood Country Club, which has served as the home for the youth golf outing for the last 12 years. With 80 golfers and over 112 friends and family for dinner and fairly good weather, the Wings had a great start to their first fundraiser. Ed Boogard Jr. was generous and donated back the money he won at the 50/50 drawing. During the live auction, hosted once again by Brian Startare, we raised over $1,000. The Chinese auction baskets, spearheaded by Christina Mauger, was stocked with over 32 baskets filled with various goodies.

Our corporate sponsors, Acclara-led by Robert Mihatsch and Tom Dubrul along with PATHS, led by Tony DeLuca are vital to the ongoing success of our fundraisers. We also welcomed some new sponsors-Endurance Auto, Sealing Concepts and SJIceHockey.

The Wings of Steel would not be the team it is without these generous benefactors. Thank you for your continued community support.
