Jacob Feliciano had a hat trick as Egg Harbor Twp defeated Kingsway 7-6 in the season opener for both clubs played at Hollydell. Jason Player scored four goals to lead the Kingsway attack. Kingsway led 1-0 as Robert Licciardello scored at the eight minute mark of the first period but two goals by EHT in a fifteen second span, one by Feliciano and a goal by Ryan Robertson gave EHT a 2-1 lead after one. Player would tie the score at 2-2 early in the second period and the teams would trade goals over the next few minutes with Dylan Faulhaber giving EHT a 3-2 lead only to see Player tie the game at 3-3. Feliciano and Player would exchange goals three minutes apart late in the period and EHT would get a short-handed goal from Faulhaber, his second of the night and EHT took a 5-4 lead into the third period.

Kingsway would get off to a quick start as they would get the tying goal from John Francis just over one minute into the period. And twelve seconds later Player would get his fourth of the night and Kingsway led 6-5. Feliciano would get the equalizer less than two minutes later and Kyle Gabrielli would score on the power play to give EHT the 7-6 lead. Both teams had power play opportunities but neither could capitalize and EHT hung on for the win.
