Anthony Poppalardo had a hat trick, including the game winner with four minutes left in the game as Shawnee edged Moorestown 5-4 in Tier I action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Shawnee jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first period on goals by Poppalardo, Robert Falese and Gavin Bastarache. Zachary Marzo scored the Quakes goal. Moorestown would rally in the second period as William Eigenrauch, with Marzo assisting, scored at the nine minute mark to bring the Quakes to within 3-1. Poppalardo would respond less than three minutes later to push the lead back to two goals.

Christian Romeo would come right back for the Quakes and score to make it 4-3 after two. Midway through the period Charlie Banquier would tie the game at 4-4 for Moorestown. But Poppalardo would score the game winner and complete his hat trick in the final three minutes to give Shawnee the win.
