Thomas Papa scored with less than two minutes left in the game to snap a 3-3 tie and give Cherry Hill East a 4-3 win over St Joe’s. East had built a 3-0 lead, but saw St Joe’s come charging back behind two goals from Kevin Glass. East took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Ben Snyder and Mikey Bottalico just over one minute apart late in the period. That lead grew to 3-0 as John Gallen scored in the opening minute of the second period. Cooper Root would put St Joe’s on the board at the seven minute mark to give them life at 3-1.

Then Cherry Hill would have two men in the penalty box and St Joe’s would capitalize as Glass would score on the front end of the power play and just over one minute later he would get the equalizer and we were knotted at 3-3 after two. Freshman goalie Brice Sullivan would have a strong third period as St Joe’s would fire 12 shots, but Sullivan kept them off the board and Papa would reward his goalie with the late goal for the win. Sullivan improved to 2-0 on the season.
