Luke Martini stopped 30 shots and five different players scored goals as Cherry Hill East defeated HLV 5-1 in Tier II action played in Voorhees. The loss was the first of the season for HLV. Kevin Yang scored the only goal for HLV just two minutes into the game as they quickly led 1-0. It would take East ten minutes, but they got the tying goal off the stick of Elliott Schon at the twelve minute mark, and then with a chance on the power play late in the period Tom Papa would give East a 2-1 lead scoring with nine seconds left in the period.

John Gallen would make it 3-1 five minutes into the second period with Brian Cutler getting the assist. Then once again late in the period East had another power play opportunity and this time Ben Isakovich would score with fourteen seconds left and East took a 4-1 lead into the third period. Martini would shine in the third as HLV would carry the play outshooting East 13-4 and would have three power play opportunities, but Martini shut the door. On the second power play chance Tristan Laperriere would score short-handed to close out the scoring.
