Jeremy Ambrose scored three goals and assisted on four others as Cherokee pulled past Washington Township 9-3 in Tier I action at Hollydell. Sam Libetti and Brendan Forrest added two goals each for the Chiefs. Andrew McGinley led Township scoring twice. The teams were tied at 2-2 after the first period, after Libetti scored a short-handed goal in the first three minutes, Township would score on the same power play advantage fourteen seconds later and we were knotted at 1-1. McGinley gave Township their only lead of the night at the seven minute mark, but Jake Frankenfield tied the game at 2-2 scoring a power play goal in the final minute of the period.

Sam Berger gave Cherokee the lead for good scoring in the opening minute of the second period, and goals by Libetti and Ambrose three minutes apart had the lead to 5-2 after two. The Chiefs put the game away with a four spot in the third period. Forrest would get his first of the night in the opening two minutes for a 6-2 lead. McGinley would respond on the power play two minutes later to cut the lead to 6-3. But two goals by Ambrose and one by Forrest put the game away for the Chiefs.
