John Francis and Jacob Woody each scored two goals as Kingsway defeated Shawnee 7-4 in late game action played at Hollydell. Anthony Poppalardo led Shawnee scoring three goals. The Dragons have started slow in the first period most of the season, but tonight the offense got going with a four goal outburst. After Poppalardo gave Shawnee a 1-0 lead just fifty one seconds into the game, Kingsway came right back twenty five seconds later with Brian Barnett getting the goal. Poppalardo responded right off the center ice face-off and Shawnee led 2-1. But the Dragons would score three goals over the next six minutes.

First Woody would tie the game at 2-2, and then at the six minute mark Matt Owens would get his first of the year to give Kingsway a 3-2 lead that they would not relinquish. Woody would follow up just over one minute later and the Dragons led 4-2 after one. Francis would stretch the lead to 5-2 scoring in the first ninety seconds of the second period but Poppalardo would complete his hat trick at the ten minute mark to bring Shawnee to 5-3. Francis would get his second of the night on the power play late in the period and Kingsway took a 6-3 lead into the third period. Shawnee would score a late power play goal as Dave Hoftiezer connected in the final minute. Nicky Bellapigna would add an empty net goal in the final seconds to close out the scoring.
