Sam Berger would make it 2-0 eight minutes later and Forrest would connect for his second of the night just thirty seven seconds later and the lead was 3-0. Township would capitalize on the power play in the final two minutes as Chad Castorina scored to cut the lead to 3-1.

Colin Devine would score his second goal of the season early in the third period to give the Chiefs a 4-1 lead. Township would once again capitalize on the man advantage as John Sullivan scored at the six minute mark to make it 4-2. With the goalie pulled for an extra skater Harrison Rauh scored in the final nine seconds but Township ran out of time.
