Since being elevated to play on the top line, sophomore forward Jack Ellis has produced especially tonight as he recorded a hat trick to pace Cherokee over Williamstown 10-0 in Friday night action played at Hollydell. Mike Andes and Jake Kelley added two goals each and Jeremy Ambrose added a goal and three assists. Andes and Kelley scored goals eight seconds apart early in the first period as the Chiefs took a 2-0 lead. Two late goals in the period, one by Ellis and the other by Dustin Patterson, both coming with the Chiefs down a man, had the lead to 4-0.

The short-handed goal pattern continued early into the second period as Kelley scored his second of the night just one minute into the second period. Ellis would score the next two goals with Ambrose and Sam Libetti assisting. Libetti also had a big night with three assists. Now leading 7-0, Ambrose and Jacob Bianchi would score goals thirty-eight seconds apart to push the lead to 9-0. Needing just one goal to end the game, Cherokee would score in the final minute as Andes would get his second of the night to close out the scoring.
