Matt Lynch stopped 34 shots and six different players scored goals as Washington Township defeated Shawnee 6-2 in the early game played in Voorhees on Monday night. Township took control early getting goals from Harrison Rauh and Andrew McGinley to take a 2-0 lead three minutes into the game. Shawnee would control the play the rest of the period but Lynch made several big saves down low to keep Shawnee off the board. Early in the second period Anthony Poppalardo had a breakaway for Shawnee but Lynch stoned him to keep it 2-0.

Nick Geiger scored early in the third to make it 3-0 and three minutes later Chad Castorina would make it 4-0, Castorina also added three assists on the night. Anthony Lonasco would notch his eleventh of the season to give Township a 5-0 lead. Thomas Caputo would ruin the shutout scoring for Shawnee with four minutes left in the game. Nick Cimorelli would get that one back forty-seven seconds later and Poppalardo would score with three minutes left to close out the scoring.
