Robert Falese scored two goals as Shawnee defeated Williamstown 4-1 in the opening round of the double elimination tournament played in Voorhees on Monday evening. Falese opened the scoring with Williamstown on the power play, less than five minutes into the first period. The short-handed goal gave Shawnee the early 1-0 lead. Falese would make it 2-0 late in the period with David Hoftiezer getting the assist. Williamstown would have three opportunities on the power play but could not get one past Shay Perry.

Aidan McGray and Dylan Di Grazio scored goals twenty five seconds apart late in the second as Shawnee pushed their lead to 4-0. Despite two more power play chances, Perry kept the Braves off the board. Joshua Hoban ruined the shutout for Perry scoring early in the third period, but that was all the Braves could muster and Shawnee would skate away with the 4-1 victory.
