Charles Banquier scored in the shootout as Moorestown defeated Cherokee 3-2 and advanced into the SJHSHL Finals. The Chiefs will now face Washington Township in an elimination game with the winner playing Moorestown in the finals. Jacob Bianchi gave Cherokee a 1-0 lead at the seven minute mark with Dustin Patterson and Connor Ray getting the assists. Moorestown would tie the game at 1-1 as Christian Romeo scored just twenty three seconds later.

Jake Frankenfield gave the Chiefs the lead late in the period as Cherokee took a 2-1 lead into the second period. Elias Sulpizio would tie the game with just over five minutes left in the second period and that’s where we stood as neither team could score over the next thirty minutes. Banquier would win the game for Moorestown as he was the only goal scorer in the shootout.
