After playing fifty-five minutes of hockey, three periods and two overtimes, HLV and Clearview were still tied, finally Nick Kruzdlo a defenseman, scored the only goal in the shootout to send HLV into the Championship round against Cherry Hill East. Kruzdlo not known for his scoring had just one goal during the regular season but he was able to get one by Clearview goalie Ross Higgins who stopped 42 shots. Thomas Rockey scored a power play goal at the seven minute mark to give the View a 1-0 lead heading into the second period. Bradley Davis would score a short-handed goal five minutes into the second period to tie the game for HLV at 1-1.

The View would respond ten seconds later, while still on the power play with Steve Lento connecting for a 2-1 lead. That would last until the last three minutes of the third period when Bradley Swain would get the equalizer for HLV and send the game into overtime. HLV would have more opportunities, including a power play but could not capitalize. Once we went to the shootout, after the first round of five chances each team, Kruzdlo would connect for the game winner during the second round. HLV and Cherry Hill East will meet on Friday night.
