Colin Devine scored twice in the opening five minutes of the game and the Chiefs withstood a late rally by Eastern and won 6-3 in Tier I action played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Connor Ryan added a goal late in the first period and the Chiefs took a 3-0 lead into the second period. Goals by Jacob Bianchi and Brendan Forest less than one minute apart midway through the period had the lead to 5-0. With the Chiefs on the power play Jordan Stein would score a short-handed goal for the Vikings to cut the deficit to 5-1. Stein would beat the buzzer as he would get his second of the night with two seconds left in the period and a 5-2 game.

Kristopher Zapata would score in the first two minutes of the third period and the Vikings would climb to within two, at 5-3. But after a too many men penalty called against Eastern, Bianchi would get his second of the night, this one on the power play to end any chance of an Eastern comeback.
