Brendan Kerr scored twice, once on the power play and a short-handed goal to help Kingsway defeat Mainland 4-3 in JVB action at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. The teams traded power play goals in the opening period with Mike Turzo giving Mainland a 1-0 lead five minutes into the game. Less than three minutes later Kerr would tie the game at 1-1 with Carter Smith getting the assist. Ryan Franchville would get the only goal of the second period as he scored midway through to give Mainland a 2-1 lead heading into the third period. 

Early in the third period Mainland had a golden opportunity to increase their lead as they began the period with a 2 man advantage. But Kerr would steal the puck and score short-handed to tie the game at 2-2. Goals by Elijah Ingram and Smith three minutes apart gave Kingsway a 4-2 advantage. Owen Haugan would bring Mainland to within 4-3 with just over five minutes left in the game, but Kingsway would kill off one more penalty and hang on for the win.
