Nico Durnan scored twice as Washington Township JVA defeated Cherokee JVA 7-1 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Monday night. The Minutemen scored four goals in the first period to take control of the game. Chris Costello and Mike Bahr scored goals less than one minute apart in the first three minutes of the game to give Township a 2-0 lead. Durnan would get his first of the night with less than five minutes left in the period and Caden Morrell would connect in the final seconds and Township would take a 4-0 lead into the second period. 

The Chiefs would get their lone goal of the night at the eight minute mark as Ryan Grace connected to cut the deficit to 4-1. Township would get a late power play goal from Santino Capone to push the lead back to four at 5-1. Goals by Joe Guarracino and Durnan’s second closed out the scoring in the third period.
