Justin Herskowitz stopped all 23 shots in registering his second shutout of the season as Cherry Hill East defeated Eastern 5-0 in JVA action at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Sunday night. Five different players scored for the Cougars as they improved to 3-4 on the season, the loss dropped Eastern to 5-4. Justin Moroney scored the only goal of the first period with just over two minutes left with Mason Kahn and Tyler Williams getting the assists. Eastern would have two power play opportunities, but Herskowitz kept them off the scoreboard. 

Eighteen seconds into the second period, Noah Kanefsky would score his first goal of the season and the lead was 2-0. Midway through the third period the Cougars would double their lead as goals by Connor Byrne and Ravi Bloom, just over one minute apart had the lead to 4-0. Christian Wright would complete the scoring line collecting his first of the season with just over four minutes left in the game. Eastern would have one more power play in the final two minutes but Herskowitz preserved the shutout.
