Kristian Massanova scored four goals, Constantine Roustas and Jordan Stein added two each as Eastern defeated Kingsway 8-2 in Tier I action played at Hollydell. The Vikings broke through first as Massanova scored a short-handed goal at the five minute mark, seconds later while still on the power play Kingsway would tie the game at 1-1 as Dominic Mendek got his second of the season. Goals by Massanova, Stein and Roustas in a span of three minutes and Eastern took a 4-1 lead into the second period. Roustas’ second of the night four minutes into the second period had the lead to 5-1.

Kingsway would score midway through the period as Robert Johnson would get his fourth of the season and it was 5-2. Goals by Massanova and Stein one minute apart at the nine minute mark pushed the lead to 7-2. Massanova would get his fourth of the game in the final two minutes and the lead was 8-2 after two. The Vikings would spend half the period killing penalties and neither team would score, with the win Eastern improved to 8-2-2 on the season.
