Harrison Rauh scored at the eight minute mark of the first overtime as Washington Township upset top seed Eastern 7-6 in the opening round of the Flyers Cup at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Kyle McGarvey had a hat trick and Andrew McGinley added two goals to lead the Township offense. Luke Ravitz led Eastern with two goals. The teams were tied at 2-2 after the first period, with Sean Pomerantz and Jordan Stein scoring for the Vikings. McGarvey had both Township goals. After Ravitz gave Eastern a 3-2 lead early in the second period, Township would score twice in a ninety second span, both goals coming from McGinley down low and a 4-3 lead. Late in the period McGarvey would complete his hat trick and Township would take a 5-3 lead into the third period.

An early goal from Kristopher Zapata got the Vikings to within 5-4 and Ravitz would get the equalizer at the six minute mark to tie the game at 5-5. With less than five minutes left in the third Mike Guarracino gave Township a 6-5 lead, but that would last two minutes as Ravitz would get his second of the night and we were headed into overtime. Giovanni Torrie and Guarracino would assist on the game winner from Rauh and Township moves into the semifinals.
