Cherokee opened its playoff run with an easy 8-0 win over West Deptford at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Eight different players scored for the Chiefs as they begin their run towards another championship. Jason Spieker and Brian Slusarz got the only goals of the first period and West Deptford managed only one shot. Jake Ahle made it 3-0 early in the second period and goals by Frank Garvey and Pat Casey less than one minute apart broke the game open at 5-0. West Deptford had one really good scoring opportunity late in the game Luke DeHart had a breakaway, but failed to score. Goals by Mike Ligeikis, Anthony Santisi and Eric Prince rounded out the scoring for Cherokee.

Notes: As the overall number three seed; should things go according to ranking, Cherokee would have to face Moorestown in a tough #2 versus #3 game down the road. But its way too early to look ahead.
