Bill Schindler stopped 32 shots, including a breakaway in the final few minutes to preserve a 1-1 tie with Cherry Hill East in a game played at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Evan Asroff scored the only goal of the first period to give Cherry Hill East a 1-0 lead. Nate Price scored the Timber Creek goal early in the second period and the game was tied at 1-1. East goalie Joe Salvato played by far his best game of the season allowing just one goal against Timber Creek, a team that averages almost five goals a game.
East had several good scoring opportunities, especially down low, but Schindler allowed just the one goal. Schindlers’ biggest save came with just under three minutes remaining and East forward Tyler Caton on a breakaway for the lead, but Schindler did not give ground, made the save and preserved the tie for Timber Creek.
