Tyler Woyshner scored three goals as; including a short-handed goal with three minutes left in the game as Moorestown came away with a 6-3 win against Holy Cross in action played at the Igloo.
Woyshner and Alec Nicolai scored first period goals to give Moorestown a 2-0 lead, with Cory Pedersen assisting on both goals. Pat Rushmore recorded his first varsity point assisting on Nicolai’s goal. Nick Cyr scored a short-handed goal for Holy Cross five minutes into the second period to cut the lead in half at 2-1. Woyshner got that one back immediately, scoring ten seconds later and the lead was 3-1. Chris Burns scored his first goal of the season for Holy Cross to bring them to within 3-2 after two periods.
Early in the third period Moorestown got there two goal lead back as Chris Carnivale scored on the power play to make it 4-2. Bruce Pedito got Holy Cross to 4-3 scoring with just under five minutes remaining. With a chance to tie the game on the power play, Woyshner scored short-handed with Nicolai getting the assist to give Moorestown breathing room at 5-3. Matt Olbrich added an empty net goal in the final seconds to ice the 6-3 win.
