Dylan Smith scored three goals and Eddie Sarin added three as Washington Township had little problem in a 9-1 win over Lenape. Kyle Young scored the lone Lenape goal. The hat trick was the first for the senior forward in his varsity career and with just three goals coming into the game; he saw his goals double for the year. Township was in control from the opening seconds as Sarin scored just thirty seconds in for a 1-0 lead. Louie DeAngelo and Smith would each score about one minute apart midway through the period as the lead grew to 3-0.
Lenape scored there only goal in the closing two minutes of the period, but Smith scored thirty seconds later to make it 4-1 after one period. A short-handed goal by Garrett Quinn and a late goal by Jonathan Smith put the lead at 6-1 after two periods. With goalie Mike Stoever only facing 11 shots, Township gave freshman Pat Finnegan his first action in a league game and he stopped all 4 shots he faced in the third period. Township put the game away as Sarin scored a power play goal early in the third and another at the five minute mark, and Dylan Smith completed his first hat trick seconds later to move Township within two points of first place with a game in hand.
