After a 1-1 first period, Lenape allowed three goals, 15 shots and took eight penalties all in the second period as they fell to Rancocas Valley 6-3 in action played at the Igloo. John Czarnick led RV with two goals. Tied at 1-1 on goals by Czarnick for RV and Tom Burns for Lenape, the second period began with Lenape taking a 2-1 lead on a goal by Scott Kreifels just thirty seconds in, that lead was short-lived as thirty five seconds later Andrew Heinz tied the game at 2-2 on a feed from Sean Fleming. It was here that the game turned as Lenape would commit eight penalties in a span of seven minutes.
With numerous power plays, RV capitalized, scoring twice as Czarnick got his second goal of the night and defenseman Pat Tricocci tallied his second of the season and RV led 4-2 after two periods. Goals by Matt Menichini early in the third and one by Sean Fleming late in the game secured the win for RV. The teams will go right back at it next Monday at Voorhees.
