Shawnee jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held off a late charge by Williamstown in the 4-3 victory at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Losers of four out of the first five games to start the season Shawnee has battled back to even there record at 8-8-1. Mike Peccini and Kyle Popielarski staked Shawnee to a 2-0 lead after the first period. The lead grew to 3-0 as Ian Smith scored on a short-handed breakaway in the first five minutes of the second period.

Anthony Derbyshire got one back on the same power play as Williamstown cut the lead to 3-1. Vince Salvadori scored the first of his two goals, again on the power play late in the period and the Braves were within 3-2 heading into the final period. Williamstown had a golden opportunity early in the third period as they had a 2 man advantage for just over one minute, but failed to capitalize. Steve Nagy scored from the slot with about five minutes left to give Shawnee some breathing room at 4-2. Salvadori scored his second goal of the game as his shot went off a Shawnee defenseman and Williamstown had life at 4-3 with three minutes left. Despite pulling the goalie for an extra skater, the Braves could not get the equalizer.
