Sean Fleming had five goals and five assists as Rancocas Valley doubled up Williamstown 12-6 in SJHSIHL action played at Hollydell. Jonathan Ruiz led Williamstown scoring four goals, bringing his season total to 30. Ruiz scored the first two goals of the game in the opening four minutes as Williamstown jumped on RV early and led 2-0. RV would then proceed to score nine of the next ten goals to take a commanding 9-3 advantage. Fleming led the charge, as he usually does, scoring two first period goals and setting up Wade Sander and Andrew Heinz as RV led 4-2 after one.

After Ruiz scored his third goal early in the second period to make it 4-3, RV would break the game open scoring five goals in a span of four minutes. Sander got his second, on a feed from Fleming and John Czarnick would score two consecutive goals in two minutes, both set-up by Fleming, and the lead was 7-3. Goals by Nathan Keller and Heinz, eight seconds apart had RV cruising at 9-3 heading into the final period. Williamstown made a brief run, scoring three straight goals as Ruiz, Allan Haynes and Kyle Parks all scored to make it 9-6 and give the Braves new life midway through the third, but Fleming ended any hopes of a comeback as he netted three in the third to close out his big night.

Notes: RV has two lines that can score as they average 7 goals a game, the problem is they are giving up almost 7 per game and in the playoffs defense and goal tending usually rule. Still, they will cause some problems for teams that can’t match their firepower.
