Eric McDowell scored three goals and Kevin Joyce added two as Cinnaminson defeated Cherry Hill East 10-5 at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. Cinnaminson needs 3 out of four points in their last two games to clinch fourth place in the division. Dan Desrochers traded in his goalie pads for a stick, led East with two goals. East jumped out to a 1-0 lead with Desrochers scoring just three minutes into the game, but Joyce tied the score at 1-1 scoring midway through the period. Goals by Jason Haddon at the three minute mark and right before the period ended Joseph Carfagno collected his 12th goal of the season as the Pirates led 3-1 after one.

The second period we had six goals and six penalties, with East tying the score at 3-3 on goals by Zac Bellace and Eric Simone just about one minute apart. Cinnaminson would retake the lead thirty seconds later as McDowell scored his first of the night, Jared Hand tied the game at 4-4 on the next shift and that’s how we stayed until the last three minutes while on the power play Derrick Yoder converted on a play with Justin Nugent getting the assist. And for the second straight period Cinnaminson scored in the closing seconds as McDowell made it 6-4 after two.

Joyce scored early in the third to give Cinnaminson a three goal cushion at 7-4. After Desrochers scored his second of the night and 13th on the season, Cinnaminson came right back with Kevin Rafferty and then moments later McDowell completed his hat trick and the lead was 9-5. Taylor Arcani scored a power play goal in the final minute to wrap up the scoring.
