TRENTON, N.J., -- The Trenton Devils won all three of their home games for the week and lost on the road in Reading to complete a 3-1 week going into the All-Star Break. The Devils will stay in Trenton for the weekend, with a Friday night contest against the Elmira Jackals and a game against the Johnstown Chiefs on Saturday.

Jake Ahle snapped a 3-3 tie with under five minutes left in the game to spark Cherokee to a 6-3 win over Shawnee. Adam Hidalgo and Eric Storey scored the only goals through the first two periods as we were 1-1 heading into the third period. Pat Mohnacs scored in the first thirty seconds to put Cherokee up 2-1, and one minute later Frank Garvey scored on the power play and Cherokee seemed to be gaining control and now led 3-1. Shawnee was missing their leader and top goal score as Matt McDonald sat out with a concussion, but rallied back to tie.

TRENTON, N.J., -- A four-point night by Brad Snetsinger and four first period goals gave the Trenton Devils an easy 6-1 victory Wednesday night over the Johnstown Chiefs at Sovereign Bank Arena. The Devils started the offensive onslaught while shorthanded, as Snetsinger fed Jeff Prough in the left circle, with Prough hammering home the Devils’ first goal of the night, 2:36 into the game. Snetsinger scored the first of his two goals on the power play as he whacked in a Tony Zancanaro rebound from the far post at 9:10.

The SJHSIHL has released the rosters for the upcoming all star game at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Friday night February 6th. Each team will consist of 6 defenseman, 12 forwards and 3 goalies. The South will be coached by Washington Township head Coach Jim Macchione, based on Township leading the South Division. His two assistants will be Mark Cunard from Williamstown and Doug DeHart Sr. from West Deptford. The South team will be dressed in the dark uniforms and the North home white. The coach of the north will not be decided until the end of the regular season as four teams are bunched at the top separated only by three points.

The South Jersey High School Ice Hockey League just announced the list of nominees for the upcoming All Star game to be held at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Friday night February 6th. The game will pit a team of juniors and seniors from the South Division against a team of juniors and seniors from the North Division. Here are the nominees...
